Dave is a long-time athlete who has competed throughout his life in running and cycling, and he is known in Western New York as the founder and designer of an annual event called the Highlander Cycle Tour.  Now in its 25th year, the Highlander is a charity bicycle tour that offers a range of course options in the famous Finger Lakes Wine Country, the hardest of which is typically over 100 miles with no less than 10,000 feet of climbing elevation. In 1998 Dave was a member of the undefeated Empire State Games Championship Cycling team, and more recently, he was crowned the 2023 NY state gravel champion in the 60+ Masters Category. 

Dave has always enjoyed cycling up the challenging hills of the Finger Lakes, but after he made his first cycling trip to Europe in 2016, which included cycling the epic Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo climbs, he became passionate on cycling the big mountains of Europe.  In 2021 Dave and Chuck began cycling in Europe together, and found their mutual love for mountains, and their mutual love for the God who created the mountains, positioned them to offer unique cycling tours to their friends, integrating daily devotions that point to the God of grace behind the profound beauty and joy they experience while riding amazing routes.

Dave is married to Maureen and they have three children (two married) and one granddaughter.
